The “Vintage Fishing Other” section is a “catch-all” for all pieces of vintage fishing tackle in my collections, that don’t fit neatly into the defined drop-down menu categories in this website. While most items shown here are ‘original’ pieces from my collection, a limited number are not & have been added for context (in those limited cases, I will try to ensure it is noted as “copy” or give a proper attribution to my source). ”Medina Fish” – Origins of the name for these c.early 1900’s SCARCE to RARE ARTICULATED BRASS FISH – Above is pg.13 of Sotheby’s 1988 MEDINA AUCTION CATALOG listing part of the art collection recovered in 1986 from the baggage of Lord Carmichael (the ex-British Governor of India) found in the shipwreck of the S.S.
