Below are Vintage “McGinty’s” from my Collections. It’s not clear where the term “McGinty’s originated, but they are basically a uniquely American derivative of the English “Devon Minnows”. The vast majority of this class of lure was produced in small “cottage industry” type operations centered around the Great Lakes states, particularly Michigan where almost 100 lure makers made these unique lures in the 1920’s to 1960’s era (per Robert Slade) ……..
